PILATES ISLAND STUDIO in Cedar Park is a Pilates Center dedicated strictly to the benefits of this wonderful discipline. At Pilates Island Studio you will be working with qualified instructors with over 10 years of experience from running a successful Pilates Studio in Northern Italy. At Pilates Island Studio the instructors  provide you with the individual attention you need to make sure you are performing all of your exercises properly.                                                    Biography of Sara Allegri

All lessons are personally conducted by Sara Allegri a Second Generation Master Pilates Instructor certified by the most renowned Pilates Schools in the world including Lolita San Miguel,  the Pilates Method Alliance and the Pilates International Network with Jolita Trahan.
Sara is also taking continuing education courses with the USPA (United States Pilates Association) which is known for strictly following the teachings of Romana Kryzanowska who was one of the Elders and one of Joe Pilates’ first collaborators. 

Here at Pilates Island Studio we consider Pilates “the true science of wellness” and since science is always discovering something new, Sara too is dedicated to never stop learning about the human body. She always had a passion to learn more about the muscle fascia and how connective tissues worked and what might be their important role in executing Pilates exercises.

Sara has a strong passion for combining her knowledge of anatomy with Pilates and what better schools to implement this than with John Sharkey a specialist on tensegrity and the BASI Pro-Bridge seminars with Rael Isacowitz himself, the founder of the BASI Pilates Program.

Since the Pilates method is so chock-full of benefits on so many levels, here at Pilates Island Studio we have included a variety of classes for a variety of needs.
We offer group mat classes with all the props and also private lessons with the larger apparatus such as the Cadillac, the Reformer, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Ped-o-Pull, TRX and BOSU.

For those unfamiliar with this marvelous discipline; Pilates is a routine of specific exercises studied to reeducate the mind and body, correct bad posture, build up muscle tone and even help people with Osteoporosis, Asthma, slipped discs, Spinal Stenosis and MS.
 
Pilates also challenges athletes to build up core resistance resulting in better performance. It  gives dancers more control and fluidity. Pilates is also known to ease the pain and facilitate delivery for pregnant women.

To get you better acquainted with this wonderful discipline, the first week at Pilates Island Studio is on us! On your “first week trial” you may attend as many mat classes as you wish for seven consecutive days. Make sure the classes you chose are appropriate for your level of skill and potential. Beginners are always welcome.
